UX audit & product redesign

I help find where an existing product creates confusion or unnecessary effort, then redesign the parts worth changing. A UX audit gives the work a starting point; research and testing help assess the problems and proposed improvements.
You may be seeing repeated support questions, difficulty with onboarding or a product that has become harder to navigate as features have accumulated.
We examine those signals alongside the experience itself and agree which questions need direct investigation.
The engagement can stop at a prioritised audit or continue into revised flows, interface design and prototypes. I build on what already works and distinguish smaller corrections from changes that affect the product's structure. Your team gets a clearer view of the issues, their evidence and a practical route into improvement.
FROM PRODUCT FRICTION TO A CLEARER EXPERIENCE
Find where the experience breaks down
Examine important journeys and combine an expert review with the evidence already available. I walk through the tasks that matter to your users and business, looking at navigation, terminology, information hierarchy, forms, feedback and the states around an action.
This helps identify where the experience may create unnecessary effort or uncertainty.
We can combine that review with support requests, customer feedback, available analytics and targeted user research. Different sources tell us different things: an expert review can identify a likely usability issue, while observation can show how people actually encounter it. I make that distinction visible so the audit provides a reasoned diagnosis and a useful basis for deciding what to investigate further.
Prioritise the issues that matter
Give the team a manageable order of work based on the consequences and strength of the evidence. An audit can uncover more issues than a team can reasonably address at once. We consider which tasks are affected, how serious the consequences are, what is known about frequency and how the problem relates to your goals.
I help separate immediate corrections from structural questions and compare possible impact with likely implementation effort. Some issues may be ready to act on; others need further research or technical input. The outcome is a prioritised set of recommendations with enough explanation for your team to assess the reasoning, discuss trade-offs and choose a scope that fits the available time and resources.
Redesign the parts that hold people back
Develop revised journeys and interfaces that respond to the diagnosed problems. The appropriate intervention might be a simpler form, more useful guidance, a revised navigation model or a different way to organise the product's information.
We use the diagnosis to decide how much needs to change and which existing patterns are worth retaining.
I develop the selected improvements through flows, wireframes and interface designs, making the proposed behaviour tangible. Where inconsistency is a recurring cause, we can also establish shared components or UI foundations. The redesign stays connected to the problems it is intended to address, giving stakeholders a concrete basis for reviewing the direction.
Check the redesign and plan its rollout
Evaluate the proposed experience and prepare a realistic sequence for implementation and review. Prototypes let people try important changes before the team commits to a larger implementation. We can investigate whether the revised structure is understandable, whether a task becomes easier to complete and which new questions the design introduces.
I can work with developers on the handoff and review the experience as it is implemented. We also agree appropriate measures or feedback to monitor after release, taking account of the data available. This keeps the work connected to the actual product and helps the team decide whether further improvements are needed once the changes are in use.
