Website & digital brand experience

I design and build production-ready websites that make a business understandable and give its brand a distinct presence. The work connects structure, content, visual direction and implementation, with a practical way for visitors to take the next step.
A website may need to explain an unfamiliar offer, establish credibility, support enquiries or make a growing body of content easier to explore.
We start with those responsibilities and develop an experience that fits the business and the people it wants to reach.
I can carry the project from early structure and visual exploration through to a functioning site ready for launch. We agree the pages, CMS, forms and integrations involved, along with content responsibilities and handoff. An existing identity can provide the foundation, or we can develop the visual direction alongside the website.
TURNING YOUR BRAND INTO A WORKING WEBSITE
Make the offer clear and the next step easy to find
Organise the website around what visitors need to understand, assess and do. We define the audiences and the job the site needs to perform, then plan the content and navigation around relevant questions.
What is the offer? Who is it useful for? What gives someone confidence in the business? How do they begin a conversation or complete the intended task?
I help establish the page structure, content hierarchy and appropriate routes between services, examples and contact. We work with the material available and identify gaps that matter to the experience. This gives the visual design a purposeful foundation and helps the site support the business without asking visitors to work out the offer for themselves.
Create a distinctive experience across devices
Carry the brand into considered layouts, imagery and interactions that work in the contexts people use. I develop the visual direction in relation to the content and the impression the business wants to create.
Typography, composition, imagery and interaction can give a website character while keeping information readable and actions understandable.
The design considers how pages adapt across screen sizes, including navigation, content order and the behaviour of more complex sections. Motion can support orientation or expression where it serves the experience. We also consider accessibility through the design and build, including contrast, keyboard interaction and understandable controls. The site should feel coherent as a brand experience and practical to use in everyday conditions.
Structure content for search and ongoing publishing
Give the business useful page content and an editing structure that supports future additions. Service explanations, case studies and articles should make the website's subject clear to the people reading it. I help organise that material into meaningful pages with descriptive headings, relevant connections and suitable metadata.
We can also plan the content model for a CMS, separating reusable information from page-specific material so publishing remains manageable. Where search or AI discovery is part of the brief, the content should state the offer, audience and relevant evidence plainly. The structure supports that explanation and gives future content a sensible place to live, without requiring a separate page for every variation of the same question.
Build the site and prepare it for launch
Deliver a production-ready website with the agreed functionality, checks and editing handoff. I build the site using an approach suited to its content, functionality and maintenance needs. The agreed scope can include responsive pages, a CMS, enquiry forms and appropriate integrations.
Performance and accessibility are considered throughout the build, alongside the practical requirements of the launch.
Before handoff, I check the important journeys, forms, links and editing workflow across relevant devices and browsers. We agree any analytics or measurement setup and confirm who will manage the site and its connected services. You receive the functioning website and the guidance needed for the agreed editing tasks, with ongoing support or further development defined separately where wanted.
